Kickstart Kids International

Our Team

All roles within Kickstart are filled by our young and passionate team of Australian volunteers. They apply their collective skills and draw on the diverse experiences of the group to work towards a shared vision. One of Kickstart Kids International’s key messages is that young Australians can be empowered to facilitate real change for a better world. Kickstart’s founder was only 21 on his first trip to Kenya.

Corporate Governance

Although we were initially registered as an incorporated association in 2008, we are now registered as a public not-for-profit company limited by guarantee under the name Kickstart Kids International Limited. This entity is regulated by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) and ensures that the highest level of accountability and transparency are maintained. Our members consider these attributes of accountability and transparency to be critically important to ensuring clarity on the use of donor funds.

We are governed by a board of directors who, between them, bring practical not for profit and commercial experience to our team. Each of our directors is passionate about our work in Kenya and all have previously volunteered within not for profit organisations in developing countries. It is this attribute that helps to ensure we maintain a healthy balance between corporate governance principles and the grass roots nature of our work with orphans and vulnerable children.

If you have any questions about corporate governance including more information about decisions made by the board of directors please contact Daniel Cramsie (contact details below), or send us a letter to The Board of Directors, Kickstart Kids International. PO BOX 90, Crows Nest NSW 1585, Australia.
